Committed effective dose

The committed effective dose (E(50)) is obtained by multiplying the committed equivalent dose (HT(50)) for each organ T by the tissue weighting factor (wT) for that organ, and subsequently sum all the products:

E(50) = ∑ wT × HT(50)

The corresponding unit is sievert (Sv).
