The German physicist Max Karl Ernst Ludwig Planck (1858 - 1947) postulated that
the energy (E) of a
photon can be written as:
energy (E) = h × ν
Here, h = 6.626,070,15×10-34 J·s is Planck's constant and
ν the frequency of the light.
