H.R. Hertz
The hertz (Hz) is the unit of frequency (ν). It is named after the German physicist Heinrich Rudolf Hertz (1857 - 1894).

hertz (Hz) = cycle per second (s)

Note that activity (A) and frequency share the same unit (s-1). However, activity is a stochastic quantity, whereas frequency is a periodic quantity.
