wavelength

The quantity wavelength (commonly denoted by the Greek letter λ) is the length (in m) over which a periodic event, also called wave, repeats itself. The corresponding unit is the meter (m). Electromagnetic radiation is an example of such a periodic event. For this:

wavelength (λ) × frequency (ν) = speed of light (c)
